Materials Bio-Engineering Laboratories

The MBE Facility project tasked Matthews Architects with delivering a fully developed research and education suite of laboratories. Initially divided into 3 sections separated by different groups, it became clear early on through stakeholder discussions that the most efficient use of spaces would be to redesign for a combined, collaborative facility. Matthews Architects refined and explored the scope of what the individual high level researchers required through a series of divided discussions and constant communication with stakeholders, technicians, and university staff. A complete set of new documentation was developed from initial concept to construction documentation.
