Methodist Church Tynte Street

The Merlino Development Group engaged Matthews Architects to revitalise the historic Methodist church on the corner of Tynte Street and Wellington Square. The project transforms the site into a vibrant office and hospitality space, featuring small offices and a rooftop restaurant pavilion that celebrates the building’s heritage. The design balances restoration with modern upgrades, developed in alignment with Heritage SA, ODASA, and the City of Adelaide Council to ensure heritage compliance following an earlier residential proposal that did not proceed.
