Matthews Architects efficiently refurbished 40 high-care rooms within an occupied facility using a staged approach to minimise disruption. Upgrades included enlarging rooms by incorporating balconies, adding built-in joinery, patient lifts, and audiovisual systems to enhance resident comfort and care efficiency. External façade improvements refreshed the building’s appearance while maintaining full operation throughout construction.
