Longridge Aged Care Admin Upgrade

Commissioned in 2002 by Longridge Aged Care, Matthews Architects developed a financial strategy and staged masterplan to address site deficiencies while minimising resident disruption. Stage 1 exceeded expectations in value and seamless decanting, followed by Stage 2 upgrades to kitchen, dining, laundry, loading, storage, administration, a new bedroom wing, lounge, and external works including car parking, bus shelter, and pedestrian links from independent living units.
Stage 3 and 4 expanded dining, added 10 new rooms, social spaces, and a bushfire shelter. The masterplan prioritises resident wellbeing—both for new occupants and those in temporary accommodation—alongside efficient administration to future-proof the facility.
