Reaching New Markets.
Matthews Architects opened a Melbourne office, marking the first major interstate expansion, at its peak the Melbourne office employed 30 staff. Meanwhile in Adelaide, Barry managed to secure a partnership with Paynter Dixon, one of Adelaide’s biggest project management firms at the time, enabling access to larger commercial projects.
Barry started exploring international opportunities, particularly in Asia, to broaden the firm’s reach.
