Madley Studios

Matthews Architects was engaged to refurbish and upgrade underutilised spaces within Madley Studios, focusing on acoustic and aesthetic performance. The project comprised 203 m² of learning environments, rehearsal spaces, offices, and teaching/practice rooms. The design introduced perforated acoustic wall panels to achieve optimal sound absorption and reflection, enhancing the versatility and acoustic quality of each space. Alongside technical acoustic improvements, the refurbishment provided a refreshed interior aesthetic with new finishes, surfaces, and furniture to support contemporary teaching and rehearsal activities.
